Taufik Mohd Rashid
Executive Director (Power, Oil & Gas Project)

Taufik Mohd Rashid is the Executive Director of System Protection & Maintenance Sdn. Bhd. since February 2006. With over 20 years of experience in the power substation and related sectors, he is responsible for managing and coordinating all tendering and project implementations for the Transmission & Distribution (up to 500kV) and Oil & Gas Division.

Graduated from University of Malaya with Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical-Honours), he then joined Tenaga Nasional Berhad in 1986 to 1996 and was attached to the Transmission Projects Department involving with design, tendering and project implementation of Main Intake Substations up to 275kV and HVDC projects.

From 1996 until January 2006, Taufik had the opportunity to work with other companies dealing with Substations, Overhead Lines, Underground Cables and Optical Fiber stringing. He was also attached with an international company prior to SPM dealing with Overhead Line Transmission projects up to 500kV for Tenaga Nasional Berhad.
