Ir. Abdul Manan Chat is the Executive Director of System Protection & Maintenance Sdn. Bhd., and the Managing Director of SPM Engineering & Construction Sdn. Bhd. His career spans over 33 years in the power and electrical industry. Mr. Abdul Manan is affiliated with Board of Engineers Malaysia (P.Eng), Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (MIEM) and has been awarded a Certificate of Competency from Jabatan Bekalan Elektrik & Gas Malaysia.

From 1974 - 1986, Mr. Abdul Manan held a post at Tenaga Nasional Berhad and he was responsible for maintenance and commissioning of relay protection and equipment for TNB substation and power stations up to 275kV.

His education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Hons) from Brighton Polytechnic, Moulsecomb, Brighton, England.
